Pets

This post is going to be centered around the kitties simply because they are one of the few things I have to take pictures of around here. Last night after doing some house work I was really tired, gave them wet food, and noticed KO had shoved his nose in the food again so he had it all over his nose. I went to take some pics but he licked it off. For some reason I decided to keep shooting so it was going on 12:30 and I’m laying on the floor just watching what they do to see what pictures I can snag.

I have some VERY important guests coming over St. Patty’s day. Kwyn (aka BFF!), Geren and Geren’s wife Laura are coming from Indiana to visit me! ROCK ON, I can’t wait. What this means is since there are guests, my mind goes into “finish a project” mode. A year ago I started remodeling my house, and I always find other things to do and put it off. So this week I’m getting back to it, in hopes of getting a couple of new items done before they get here. The main thing I’m working on is painting the baseboards in the living room and then putting some color on the walls. I put 4 hours in on Saturday, 4 hours Sunday and attended a DFW Photographer’s Edge meetup so I’ve been busy and haven’t posted anything.

Random

Next up is a quick shot I got of the neighbor dog. In my. Backyard. Yes I have weed things, they come from the neighbor, I have no clue what they are and I’m too lazy to pick them up. I noticed this little db running in my yard so I quick grabbed my camera and this is what I ended up with.

The picture of my car is at Chef Point Cafe. Their motto is “Fill’er-up outside, fill’er-up inside” so of course I had to do both. The joint is run by a Gourmet Chef that couldn’t find a bank to loan him money to open a restaurant, so he opened a gas station and put the “nice” food area inside. I say “nice” because it’s actually really rugged inside, plastic tables, etc, but the meals are gourmet. Chris and I went for breakfast last week and it wasn’t anything special. I had a waffle with chicken and it was literally a waffle, with blueberries on it, and a full fried chicken sitting on top? So random. I think I ate a bite of the chicken, it didn’t sound good at all for breakfast. I was expecting grilled chicken, or chicken fingers, I don’t know. We went back for dinner and honestly we weren’t that impressed. Is it a nice meal inside a gas station? Yes. Is that all it is? Yes. Would I rather go to Cheesecake factory? You bet.

I liked the last picture of my guitar. Kwyn wanted to know what model it was so I took a picture so we could look it up. FYI, I found the model, even though I know nothing about guitars.

House

As mentioned earlier, I’m going to be painting my living room. I wanted a couple of “before” pictures, so I messed around taking various shots, with the results posted below.

Food

Last up are a couple of food items. The first one is a picture of lunch meat. I don’t understand the packaging, it confuses me every time I open it. The perforation is right at the very top (this one is already open/torn) but there clearly is a dotted line that says “tear here”. Why is that line so low, compared to where the actual tearing takes place?! Lately I’ve been eating cereal for dinner with steamed veggies, so I decided to finally step it up a notch and get some chicken. I grilled 5 breasts to save for later, so now I just have to steam some veggies and heat up the chicken.
